XF20

My buddy and I finally started on it. We have it upside down and sanded to fair the bottom. I can't remember if we need to roll a coat of epoxy on before I start to lay down fairing or not. If so do I let it dry before fairing. Thanks, Don

Evening Don. Talked to you a couple weeks ago. Our mutual friend Dougster had you call. Answer to the question is no. Just some sanding so the fairing material has something to bond to. Good luck. Lots of fairing on this beast

Yep, it was good talking to you Doc. Won't be quite as much fairing as your build. This one is a little skinnier. Cut it down to 6 ft. wide to be able to get it through the gate. I forgot how to post pics.

Hey Don, here's a note I copied from Jacques somewhere on posting pics:

-go to your gallery and open the picture (which means you gotta get a gallery and your pic in it)
-mouse over the picture, right click and select "Copy Image Location"
-paste that link in your message
-highlight the link and click on the little picture icon above

Great to see you building again. Do you still have your PH18? I have the pictures I took of it at the POC boat builders meeting. I was in the middle of building mine and you were gracious enough to give me a ride in yours.

HI Glenn, how's Sulfer? Yes, my boat is in dry dock. I'm repainting while trying to build the XF. So not much is getting done. once I figure out how to post pics, i'll get those up. working on fairing the chine to get that sharp edge. Then paint the bottom. I have paint samples for my buddy to check out.
God bless all our Vets and those who paid the ultimate price. D.
