The Saturday night group cook/meal was good fun and I'm glad we're doing it again. Put me down for another pork butt, smoked "low and slow"

I've been watching builds for a few years. Have plans for the fs18. I would like to check out a fs18 on the water if any of you guys wouldn't mind.
Thanks, Kurt Koliba

Hey Kurt! You are more than welcome to check out mine. Funny seeing you here, we know each other from back in the Redfish Cup and FLW days!

Two weeks to POC!! Time to pull together the plans. The basic plan is a cookout on Saturday after a day on the water. Dougster is in for his boat builder famous pulled pork. I suspect a fish fry and cajun boil would be to everyone's approval? It that's okay then here is a list of needs.

1) Fish fryer
2) Boiling pot and burner ( I have one of these)
3) A couple 6' tables
4) fix'ins; Fish, shrimp, potatoes, corn on the cobb, sausage, etc.
5) something sweet :D

Just keep adding and claiming.

Somehow I let this slip by. I just put in for time off. A bit short notice but if I get the time I'll be coming down. Never been to Port O before. What will I be fishing for and what tackle will I need.

Hey Steven, good to hear from you. POC is a true fishing village. The options for fishing are wide open. If you want to fish the ship channel it is maybe 5-10 minute run and similar to Port A. Espiritu Santos bay is full of grass flats, oyster reefs, spoil islands, and shollow lakes. An interested feature of this bay is the old oilfield service channels which are relatively deep water ajoining shollow flats. I'll have my offshore gear (hoping for perfect conditions) but will probably be wade fishing for most of the time.
