Peter, I promise you would like Boca Grande :D
The lack of chain motels and convenience stores is actually quite refreshing 8)
The island is beautiful and you can get anything you want with a 20 minute drive.
We tend to create our own entertainment at Boca

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm not going to be able to make it to Boca this year. :? Between the kids school schedule and schedule conflicts at work, we just can't pull it off. I have a reservation for Friday and Saturday night if someone wants it. Please email me ASAP if you need the room. Hope you guys have fun this year :D

Dangit Mark, I don't like hearing that  I was hoping to see you guys this year...and I still haven't seen the finish boat yet. Unfortunately, though, I fear that I'll have to make a dreaded trip to the m-in-law's house sometime this summer...at which time I'll duck out and come see you!! I'd like to see those push poles :D

Yeah, what Richard said. I travel enough places so often that its nice to see a place like Boca Grande. Really not a whole lot to do on the island, but the lighthouse visit was a nice way to spend an hour or 2. Then sit on the beach outside the lighthouse and watch the circus in the Pass

After a few long nights on the porch with whiskey and beer flowing, there's not many problems left to be solved

I bet it's nice I ain't questioning you guys about that, but would you make a long trip like I have to do without your partner to see the island Boca Grande for 4 nights, don't forget I'm coming from another island, so the things special for most of you guys like beaches, lighthouses, sunsets aren't that special for me, I'm sorry about that .
I know I'm spoiled in that area  , that's why I was looking for a little more entertainment, especially at night.

Tried to find you some webcams also but didn't succeed, so here's some promotional video's, yeah life is a beach 8)

Well guys, I hate it, but due to unavoidable circumstances Dori and I have to cancel :( I sure was looking forward to this but sometimes life just get in the way.

I've got a waterfront efficiency and dock space reserved Thurs night thru Sun night if anyone is still needing a room. I'll hold the reservation until next week.
