On the performance side, I don't run it hard much, one day last fall I saw 32 knots on the gps, but thats with a very light load, I'm still running the factory aluminum 12 pitch, but I think its lost some performance after the last couple of sand bars. With a fishing load It likes to run 18-22 knots 4-5000 rpm, she cruises nice and comfortable there across most chop, and best I can figure will get almost 7 mpg. I'm thinking now of another build, a larger boat, but it will be a while before I can start.

Almost 37mph is pretty darn good out of a 50hp. I'm going with the same motor class in 60hp with a SS prop. Maybe I can squeeze out 40mph, but like you I'm more interested in a comfy cruise speed.
Built: 15ft Skiff, 16ft Skiff, Modified Cheap Canoe.....FS17 coming soon!

If you would like let me know and I will run it through my formula's to see what your top speed would be. I have propped an FS17 with a Yamaha 60HP. So know what the specs and speeds should be. Every boat is different so will need to get your boats specs for an accurate prop selection.
