CC12 - Sept 2016 - Florida

Post by 94'325is » Thu Sep 29, 2016 4:01 pm

I always wanted to build the CC since it seemed like a fun project with a minimal up-front cost. I ended up building it for roughly $100 and am very happy with it. The biggest hurdle I ran into was making a mistake cutting (I blame the incoming thunderstorm and working outside at the time) so it's actually 12' instead of 14'. Still holds myself (approx 250lbs) and paddles well. I wouldn't want to cross an open ocean with it but it's perfect for small water ways I can throw it on the roof easily. I believe it weighs around 30-40 lbs. Sorry for the terrible launch photo, my camera was fogged and I didn't realize until after.

It looks real good for $100! If it does what you want it to do, nothing wrong with that 8)

Thanks! It was fun to build, if it gets beat up I won't be too upset and fits well hanging over my FL14, can't beat that.
