Wizard CNC Kit

Post by htom » Wed May 11, 2016 8:59 pm

Hi,

I love the Woods - Janus 22 CNC kit where all the panels and frames are CNC cut. Are there any plans to provide a Wizard CNC kit? If yes, please provide an ETA & an estimated cost. I like the idea of standing up the boat quickly.

Thanks,
Howard

The Wizard is a round chine hull built either in strip planking or foam sandwich.
The only parts I can cut and supply as a kit are the molds.

The wizard has optional hard chine plywood hulls.

Yes, my interest is in the hard chine plywood version. Thanks SP for the follow up and pics of the hard chine version.

My mistake , I forgot about that option.
Give me a little it of time to look at the plans and calculate the cost of a kit.

I would also be interested in an estimated cost for a Wizard kit. Thanks!

Good news: I discussed this with Richard and for the Wizard, I will create a complete kit based on Richard's plans. He is going to give me the DXF model and I will develop all the hull panels from it.

That is great news!

Is it possible to work in puzzle joints where it makes sense?
One place where it can be used is the hull panels.
As you layout the panels, can you consider other places as well?

Thanks!
Howard
