Section view

Post by nwjack » Mon Sep 07, 2015 11:54 pm

Is it possible to get a section view so I can build a mockup of the sitting arrangements? I would really like to see how it feels before I make my final decision. I sat in John Hoaglunds V20 and it was just a little small for me. I would prefer a little more sitting headroom.

Is it possible to get a scale so I can build a mockup to test for clearances and comfort?

The only way to build a valid mock up is from the complete plans.
You need more than one section.
I have been in the boat, seating and sleeping are comfortable even for large people.
It's a 23' offshore boat, not as roomy as the plastic tubs you see at boat shows but much more capable.

From prior messages on the forum.

Headroom, sole to cabin top
VG20 is 120cm
VG20 plus 5 % is 126cm
VG23 is 140cm

VG23 has plenty of room for sitting for just about everyone unless you are unusually tall.

A search on google found this web site:

Andrew is one of our builders and he shows some nice pictures of the inside of the VG23.
