All that will be painted is the white strip left.
Picture was before decal removed and Gelcoat was sanded.

Was thinking of going with a sea foam color, enhancer says don’t spray but I would assume a good respirator will keep the bad stuff out.

Be a lot better if the guys who know what they are talking about advise you about paints. I am scared I might steer you wrong :help:

Sorry, paint rookie...not a fan of awlgrip primer.

I like epifanes primer better. Epifanes 2 part paint went on nice, stayed wet pretty long === dust magnet.

I need to test Epifanes roller on vertical surface. The perhaps spray if I hate it...

Gotta admit, painting is not my thing.

Hey guys, sorry man it’s been so long.

Well I got the deck all installed, flipped over, six coats of epoxy graphite, and painted hull. Did 4 coats of paint roll and tip.

I am in the middle of moving back to Florida my wife has decided to take over the family restaurant and I couldn’t resist returning to the Old Indian River that I know so well. So at this point it’s been back and forth to Okeechobee and I’m on my final trip on the weekend of the 20th. Boats going behind the U-Haul on the final trip with Cody’s SK 14 strapped to the top and off we go. As soon as I get settled I’ll get it caught up. See you soon Jeff. Hope you guys have been well.

Got the motor mounted today and went through trailer and axel. Went ahead and mounted for the trip figured less chance of damage that way.

Went through Cody’s SK and set it up for the outboard, epoxy graphite bottom and painted sides getting him ready to teach him the river. He was able to find a older Merc 6.5 for it lol I hope it don’t fly.

I left the console off the Explorer so I could carry the SK on top. So wish us luck..
