The boat has a fiberglass hull and a somewhat built cap, it looks like the cap consist of the deck and gunnels. I believe the bulkheads and sole were built in first and glassed to the cap.

We tried pulling the cap today and the bulkheads and sole are not budging. I’m wondering if the cap is even worth saving. It is basically a bunch of pieces of plywood glued to the glass skin. Will post up picks soon.

Well it all was as figured a total loss, rotted and all frames delaminated as expected. I’m looking for so advice on the framing of the original builders design.

This is a molded fiberglass hull that had a drop in cap that consisted of all box framing, cockpit, front deck and cockpit area.

There is no stringers only frames

I would guess that it would be best to put stringers in with egg created frames? Would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Note:: everything in this boat was delaminated from the hull. Everything was assembled with screws and nothing was fully lamented.

My thoughts are to add at least three stringers, center and P&S and cut them the height of the sole/cockpit. Then egg crate the cross frames/bulkheads into the stringers.

Well you know what you have in front of you :help: I am not sure how that thing stayed together. Heck you can clearly see the delaminations in the pictures. How thick is the hull glass? I am not sure if three or four stringers would be best. I am dang sure no matter what you it is going to be better than what it was. I am not sure how some of these hulls stay together

What a mess! The egg crate is what Jacques does on his designs. Following his genius designs is what I would do.

How wide is the boat at the waterline?
