Hi,

There are 2 manufactures that I tested:

Frank Compensados.
I got 6 and 10 mm, mixed wood, Cedar faces and Virola/Amescla inner, sold by Madeiras Monteiro.
The 6 is actually 7mm with 4 ply. The pure Cedar was 3 ply was already warped on the store.
The 10 is actually 12mm with 7 layers.
They cost 3 times more than others.
I used then on hull, stingers and frames.

Maseal.
I got 6 and 10 mm, Virola/Amescla wood, sold by Leo Madeiras.
The 6mm with 3 ply.
The 10mm with 5 ply is light, with good finish.
I used the 10mm in decks and sole.

In my opinion both are inferior to marine grade used by builders here, but are the best I could find here.

All others that I tested sold as generic marine ply, with no manufacture information, are crap. Some samples warped in a few days in the shop without even touch the water. Others came with delamintion in the middle of the sheet from store.

I hope this help you, just pm me if you need something else.

Carlos
