Ordering just the hull ply cut with CnC.

Post by Capt UB » Thu Apr 19, 2018 12:31 pm

Classic 17

Can I order just the hull panel plywood CnC'd?

I really like the Puzzle Joints I had on my FS14.

CPT UB, Yes, I am pretty sure we can accommodate that request. I will need a few days to get our CAD engineer/person in to rearrange any of the sheets and delete out those that you don't want from our current CAD (CNC) File for cutting. Just give me some advance notice and I will ask Crystal to create the new CNC Cut File for the hull panels (only) for the C17. Jeff

Not going to happen till next year. Just getting ideas and costs together. I know I will be using MarinEpoxy, love that stuff!

Thanks Jeff and Crystal.

What a beauty!

Jeff,

Could you sent me the CnC panel drawings? When I picked up my FS14 CnC ply it had the CnC drawings. I know they are different then the what is in the plan drawings (like the one I sent). Different because of the Puzzle Joint and the length of the marine ply (not 4x8).

Thanks, Bob.

No hurry Jeff. Lots to still do on the FS14.

I could not tell if anyone has ordered the CnC for the C17.

That is a real gem of a boat. If I had to find something I don't like would be the bolts for the wind screens. They stick out and seems there could be something a little better but I think a black weather strip would not be the answer. Capt UB I like the colors you mentioned but when you say almond, would that be a darker color or closer to a tan. Also what about a short wind screen for helm on top the cabin? Something like the little runabout, Kayla's boat, got with the SS brackets? Would that be to much?

By the time you start on your C17 I hope to have my FS14 wet!

Enjoy the weekend!

Capt UB your request involves 9 sheets of plywood and only 4 small pieces that are not part of the hull. It might be cheaper for Jeff and his crew not to have to reset their programs and to get just all 9 sheets cut as already set up. Question for you Jeff? I am just asking as I don't know how the CNC panels are set up.
