Duckbill Gemlux Scuppers

Post by TomTom » Sat Dec 28, 2019 2:02 pm

Anyone have any experience with these?

Ironically I was thinking of making something similar from the TH Marine Duckbill scuppers by turning them around and fitting them inside the transom so the don’t stick out. I think hiding them in the transom would look much better...

Looks like gemlux beat me to the mark...

I hate and I mean hate those ball scuppers! Never seen one work! But these look well designed...

I used them in my lm18 build and they work amazingly. Mine are well under the waterline and I haven't had water come in even when heavily loaded

Drainage would be limited though. It won't look as nice but you could make your own. Lay flat hose over a fibreglassed tube.

I like how neat the gemlux look! Was thinking of having a few just to take the splash off the boat - and then one could always have a plugged bigger scupper for an emergency
