Post by cape man » Mon Mar 03, 2014 3:01 pm

I hate feral hogs!!! This guy showed up two weeks ago and was flipping over a corn feeder.

The new 270 Ruger with some night vision assist stopped that crap!

Too big and nasty for the table, but I'll take his skull and add it to my collection.

Good article on it:

http://www.today.com/news/feral-pigs-go ... 6C10548867

"In 1987, there were an estimated two million wild pigs in about 20 states, primarily in the South and concentrated in Texas and Florida. Now there are an estimated six to eight million wild pigs roaming 47 states.

“This increase that we’ve seen in wild pigs is unquestionably dramatic,’’ Mayer said. “We don’t have another species here in the U.S. that has increased at this same rate.” "

Rode by three little porker last night on the bicycle. They didn't mind the autos & trucks, but I wasn't welcome. Too bad, they were 40 to 60 pounders ----- yummy! Yep, Florida has a pig problem.

I see them everywhere except when I carry a gun . . . they must be hiding in the bushes and laugh at me.

Good piggies. They are starting to take up more space in my freezer than the white tails and endangered Red snapper.!

Its time to have a special hunting opportunity for pigs like they have for the pythons in the everglades. Make a requirement for those receiving welfare that if you want to use your EBT card at a gas station or mini-mart, you have to bring in 1 hog head.

Classify them as an endangered species and drop a hint in an Asian country that they help bedroom performance and they'll be extinct in a year.
