Bad times and hard decisions

Post by Cracker Larry » Mon Oct 26, 2015 10:11 am

My Mom has been in failing health for the last few years and has been getting progressively worse. She's spent the last 2 months in the hospital and the last 2 weeks in ICU. On Thursday my brother and I made the decision to pull the plugs on her life support systems and let her go. She was ready, her fight was over. She died a couple of hours later. Funeral was Saturday and she is now back on the ocean she loved with my Dad somewhere.

This is her and I, 60 years ago. RIP Mom.

Moms are tough to lose, even when you have time to prepare yourself.

She lives on in you and Cracker Junior, though.

I tried to say something but God thought I was wrong and filled my mouth with saltwater. I kept my pie hole shut after that.

Those of us in your age group know and understand what you are going through and went through. You have my deepest sympathy for you and all of her loved ones.

I add my condolences. That is a fantastic picture and likely a good example of the many memories you have of your Mom.
