Hurricane Harvey

Post by TomW1 » Thu Aug 24, 2017 3:39 pm

To all our builders in Texas just saw that Harvey has turned into a full fledged hurricane and is expected to reach major status before reaching your coat tomorrow evening. Rain fall of over 20" is predicted in areas, that is a lot of rain. 8O

My best wishes and please stay safe. Dougster I know you are in that area take care.

At least you guys are getting enough warning to get out of the way. I am just hoping the damage is not too bad for those in its path.

I'm in Canada with inlaws and can't do much. One site said maybe 55 mph winds in Blanco, which could be a problem. I just gotta wait and see. It looks bad for our coast areas. Hopin' the best for folks.

As far as hurricanes go...this one has very little warning. I pray the state has good evac plans & everything goes well. A Cat3 storm is my threshold. I'd get out of the path at that point. It's going to dump alot of water if the predictions hold.
