Pretty sexy work there tw.

My first boat was a 14' bench seat Lund. It had no floor.

A few instances of wet feet and I quickly added floor sections, aka plywood chunks.

I always kept a bail bucket on hand.

Later, I fitted nicer pieces of ply with little boards under to fit better with carpets on top to keep things less slippery.

Focus on the positive Capt.

A nice flat sole and dry feet is really sweet.

No pipes in the Lund; only limbers.

This is how i did a drain in the cabin . Something similar to what you are thinking.

I used a foresterner bit for the shoulder.
That is exactly what I was thinking!!Nice job! Did you put any kind of channel under the deck to direct the water?

I was just going to use a sheet of plywood with a smaller diameter hole and then build it up for a flush fit. Home Depot sales the 3" and 4" drain covers for a lot less the boat parts suppliers and they look the same. Brass, plastic and nickel plated is what I found so far.

I found some bronze and what they say is stainless. Waiting till I get closer to final install of the sole.

Just be careful. I bet the "bronze" is really brass. Brass has zinc in it and that will leach out leaving a weak sponge like piece. You can normally tell if it is really bronze by the price alone :help:

This is something I am considering. Requires 3" to 4" drain but I think I can make it. Notice it says it is both, stainless and nickel.

I'm ok with it being nickel, if a magnet will not pull on it then it will not rust.
