Dropping loggins

Post by fallguy1000 » Fri Jan 26, 2018 4:24 pm

Okay-just for fun I had to...

Seriously. Why does the login drop so easily. Is there a timeout?

It seems like everytime I go into a new wifi zone; I need to relog in again.

Fallguy1000, I must admit that this is the first time I have had this issue brought to my attention. Let me get someone to look at it and I will get back to you. By the way, Jacques will be by the shop on Monday and we will respond back to you on the System Three issue!! Also, maybe John will be back from vacation next week as well!! Jeff

It might be on my end; just too dumb to know.

I have a couple wifi zones and if I use my phone for the forum; I gotta shut off wifi or I go crazy logging in repeatedly.

Check the box that says keep me logged in.

Yep and you may have to select the other wifi zones in your house and select to ignore those in the settings. Just use one wifi zone. The phone is just trying to keep the best connection.

That shouldn't matter. I login about once a month over ... 30 different wifi zones between work and home and home and fun. And that's not including times I'm cell only.

Make sure you are not "clearing cookies" on your phone's browser. If you are that is likely the issue.

The point is his phone is making him log into the bateau site repeatedly. I assumed it was when he was staying in one location and logged into the forum. It shouldn't do that unless it is constantly disconnecting and reconnecting to the wifi and different zones at one location. Depends on his router configurations, how fast his IP dhcp lease is set to expire, and a host of other things.

Not looking for an argument. It could be many things. Just trying to help a brother out.

The BBPHP software uses cookies to manage authentication. So if you are using “private” or “don’t track me” or other types of browser features made popular under the guise of security you will need to login repeatedly.

It’s just how the forum software works.
