The tiller is looking good Jaysen. :D

Completed R13 two part nesting rowboat. ST 21 under construction .... where seeking perfection is recognized as the enemy of the good.

Thanks GB. Going for “function over beauty” at this point. Once I get some time in on the water I can adjust things to be pretty and functional.

This day, last year, Lil Bit and I went in our first “real sail”. Crap happened while out there so I rethought some things to avoid crap happening again. As of 9:38a I can declare “the same crap shall NOT happen again!!”

Real tiller on real bracket is real. Need to trim and shape some metal, make her pretty, and pull the mast out of storage. Pics once I get the boss lady’s garden crap done and the metal trimmed.

Better pick up the pace!! Monday is coming up sooner than it was!!

Boat is ready. Sitting on her wheels. Just toying with me she is...

“Let’s play! We can get all tipsy and wet!”

Got under my skin so much I went and broke the shovel to get out of garden work... all that did was get me a trip to the store to buy me a new shovel I DO NOT WANT!!!

Who needs a shovel on a 12’ sail dinghy? Why can’t the Mrs understand this?

You will need the shovel, and some rum when you beach on that island with an X marked on it............

Son of a biscuit!!!

Garden satisfactory. I got myself dismissed from service.

Start getting ready to sail and I hear “hmmm I wonder what the wind is really doing over there...” So I look through the trees at the water.

Fork me. That’s not the shimmering I expect. It’s more like broken mirrors. Check the weather station. 18mph sustained, gusts to 20.

Got to call it on that. I’ve done those conditions before and I’m willing to do them again. I’m just not confident in the newish set up. As dumb as I really am, I’m going to leave the actual sailing on the water for a lighter wind.

I never did get a chance to reshape the tiller bracket. That’ll be what I finish off today.

He just got back from someplace we aren’t allowed to know. Has orders pending to transfer to a new unit. He says it’s a good move. He’s happy about it. That’s enough for us.

Thanks for asking.
